Mosaics^® Antique Release is a pigmented, ready-to-use powder release agent that is broadcast or "dusted" onto fresh concrete to prevent stamping tools and texturing mats from bonding or sticking to the concrete surface during the imprinting process.

After application, Mosaics^® Antique Release remains on the concrete while it hardens. When the concrete hardens sufficiently (up to 4 days in colder weather (50° to 60°F) or 24 to 36 hours in warmer weather), the surface is washed to remove most of the Antique Release material. Some of the Antique Release remains in the creases and impressions of the concrete to create color accents, random mottling effects or to contrast with the underlying color of the concrete surface. Care should be taken to ensure the desired amount of Antique Release is removed during the washing process. After washing, and the concrete is dry, one or two coats of Mosaics^® Clear Sealer is applied to seal and protect the treated concrete from wear and abrasion and to deepen and preserve its color. Mosaics^® Antique Release is available in 12 different shades and can be used on both integrally colored concrete and/or together with Mosaics^® Color Hardener.

USES: Antique Release is formulated to be used in combination with Mosaics^® Color Hardener, but it equally suitable to be used as a tool release agent when stamping integrally colored concrete or concrete overlays.

APPLICATION: Mosaics^® Antique Release is sprinkled or spread (broadcast) onto fresh concrete after troweling or finishing operations are complete, but prior to starting stamping or embossing procedures.

COMPOSITION: Mosaics^® Antique Release is a powder blend of concentrated color pigments milled together with surface conditioners and lubricating agents.

COLORS & FINISHES: Mosaics^® Antique Release is available in 12 standard colors. Two or more Mosaics^® Antique Release colors can be used in combination to create different patterns or contrasting effects. Typically, a dark shade of Mosaics^® Antique Release is applied over a light shade of Mosaics^®Color Hardener or colored concrete to create a contrasting effect.
