APPLICATION: Mosaics^®Color Hardener is sprinkled or spread (broadcast) onto freshly placed concrete by hand or by machine in two separate broadcasts. The concrete is then floated and finished. In most applications, color-hardened concrete is textured with stamping mats in combination with Mosaics^®Antique Release agent. After the concrete hardens, the surface is cleaned, allowed to dry and a clear sealer is applied to enhance the surface color and protect it against wear.

COMPOSITION: Mosaics^®Color Hardeners ("Dust-On" Colors) are powders of concentrated color pigments blended together with cement, high-strength fine quartz aggregates, surface conditioners and wetting agents.

COLORS & FINISHES: Mosaics^® Color Hardener is available in 25 standard colors. They can be used alone or two or more colors can be used in combination to create different patterns or contrasting effects. Typically, one shade of Mosaics^® Color Hardener is used as the base color and a contrasting shade of Mosaics^® Antique Release is applied to the concrete before stamping or embossing. After curing, some of the Antique Release is washed away leaving a portion of the release in the creases or impressions of the concrete to create a natural stone appearance or random mottling effect. Once dry, a Mosaics^® clear sealer is applied to the treated concrete surface to seal and protect the color-conditioned surface from wear and to deepen and preserve its color.
